Hersh E. Wolch, Q.C. (1940 - 2017) received his Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Manitoba in 1962 and his Law Degree in 1965. He was called to the Bar of Manitoba in 1965, Saskatchewan in 1972 and Alberta in 1978.

He was a Crown Prosecutor for the Province of Manitoba from 1965 to 1971 and for the Federal Department of Justice from 1971 to 1973. Hersh was the Director of the Bar Admissions Course for Manitoba as well as the Director of Education for the Law Society of Manitoba. He is a past president of the Manitoba Trial Lawyers’ Association as well as a board member of the Canadian Association of Criminal Defence Lawyers and a Member of the Reform of the Criminal Law (International Society). Hersh is also a Fellow of the American Trial Lawyers and a Member of the International Society of Barristers. In 1982 he was made a Queen’s Counsel.

Hersh successfully defended several of the wrongfully convicted, including David Milgaard, Steven Truscott and Kyle Unger in their pursuits for justice.

Hersh has acted in Commissions of Inquiries.  He has represented celebrities, lawyers, major corporations as well as individuals in all levels of court.  He has appeared numerous times in the Supreme Court of Canada.  He is rated among the Best Lawyers in Canada.
